You've Got My Heart

 I've been wanting to redraw a few of my older Cuties for quite some time.

I feel like I've learned so much in the past few years and I want to breathe new life into some of my favorite originals. Bigger doe like eyes, fluffier hair, more movement in clothing...

A previous Valentine's Cutie, You've Got My Heart, was the perfect place to start with the holiday right around the corner. I always loved this Cuddlebug, but I remember when first creating her I ran out of room on my paper which left her cropped. I don't mind a cropped image but this time around I wanted a full image and I wanted all the other features that I listed above too.

I actually am this year. It's kinda amazing. Days before the holiday and I'm good to go.

I picked up a box of chocolates this morning and I have a special dinner and movie night planned with the hubby. I'm excited about having time to spend with him. Sometimes quite nights at home are the best ones.

On Loves Wings Digital Stamp

Wow, it's been over a week since my last post. Where does the time go? I always try to post a few times over the course of a week, but somehow I just got lost in the shuffle of everyday life. It's been a fairly creative week too. I've had a slight case of insomnia for the past several days, so rather than lying in bed trying to sleep I just spent the late night hours in my craft room, and with Valentine's Day just around the corner I've had plenty of inspiration to draw with. 

The stores are packed with romantic hearts, beautiful shades of red and pink, and whimsical touches abound. I love this holiday. I love the decorations. They're just so eye catching and pretty.

Humble Beginnings

While holding my breath and with trimbling hands I hit publish on my first blog post on July 6th 2012. Putting your work out there for the world to see can be a very intimidating experience.

I had been collecting illustrations in a tiny little drawing journal.

My first digital stamp, Hannah, was actually drawn to be a little under 3 inches.

I treasure this little book, as it has many great memories kept between it's pages.

 

The following digital stamps are a handful of my first. I truly hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

 

The last image, of a beautiful angel, is a brand new picture.  It was something that I was toying with then put away for later and was completely forgotten about. It resurfaced while I was searching through the pages of my book and I felt that now was a great time to share it.

 

These digital stamps will be avabile through Sunday the 24th, then they will go back into the vault until the holiday season. Then, I will reopen my Etsy store to collect donations for this years book drive.

Patchwork Rosie Cuddlebug Cuties

 

I have had an incrediably wonderful day today.

I started the morning out by getting my Valentine's Day present early. Yay!!! /happy dance /happy dance

 

My hubby brought me an iPad Mini. And I love it!!! I have the orginal iPad but it's pretty much dead. However, I keep using it trying to get every cent of my money out of it, lol. This new one is such an improvement.

I'm not really sure why he gave it to me early. He said that I looked sad lately and he just wanted to cheer me up, awe. I don't think we've ever done anything more than dinner for Valentines, so this is pretty sweet.

 

 

Then  on to another spectacular event. I was gifted an amazing Copic marker holder by one of my wonderful followers.

It is such a sweet notion and it is so beautiful and functional too.

Absolutely perfect!
