I've come to the conclusion that I am a paper fanatic.
I love paper.
Pretty paper or drawing paper; any type of paper is a toy for me. It makes it difficult to complete a journal because as soon as I get new paper I want to try it. By the end of any given day I'll have several art journals and sketch books scribbled in. I've often wondered if I should tear all the paper from my books and store them all together in a ringed binder. It would be the best of both worlds; trying many types of new paper while still keeping all my work together.
Would I still be able to field journal with it? I have the feeling that I would have it stuffed so full that it would be difficult to travel with. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to destroy a book and give it a try.
A Collection Of Journals |
From top to bottom;
- New drawing paper. Super thick and amazing quality. Perhaps a new favorite.
- Sketchbook. Beautiful cover, light weight, and purse size.
- Art journal. Huge pages with lots of room.

And of coarse, Bear is almost a constant fixture on my work desk. He's now litter box trained and doesn't mark, so I love to spend the day with him supervising. He'll just quietly rest on my markers and watch. I can even snack while working and he won't budge. Never sticks his nose in my plate; just sweetly waits to be offered nibbles. My pups aren't even that well behaved, lol.
Many hugs to my wonderful arts and crafts buddies,
Anna
Oooh welcome in the club of paper addicts he he he. I can´t help it either but love all kinds of pretty paper, no matter what it´s for. My biggest problem is, that I often can´t bare to cut in it, if I´ve got my hands on some really awesome ones he he. Hubby often laughs of me, and keeå saying, remember to buy doubbles, so you can also have some to use, so I know exactly how you feel . There´s justy something special about papers, just the feel of it is cool.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your ongoing works here, and can´t wait to see some more of those finished here later ha ha ha. You are such an awesome artist sweet lady.
I'm the same way, lol. Sometimes it's so pretty I have to buy two or I'll almost be afraid to mess it up by using it. I'm such a pack rat.
DeleteYour post today really caught my attention. I also hoard paper...any kind, any type. I've even tried to whittle it down and give some away, but the box is still in the other room and I can't bear to part with it. And I love all types of journals, but mine are for writing, not drawing (I'm not an artist by any means). Also, love the picture of Bear. He is just SO adorable, I think having him on my desk would bring such tranquility. Thanks for all your inspiration and for sharing your talent.

Anna,
ReplyDeleteIf you have time, would you be willing to email me? I have a couple of questions about how you litter trained Bear. Thanks so much. If you don't have time, that's okay.

How did you get him litter trained? And even better how do you get him to leave your snacks alone? My cat firmly believes that all I have is to be shared with him.
