Creative Joy

Document everyday with creativity and joy.

This is my current life motto.
I love to create, inspire, and share.
Adding a piece of art to my everyday life brings me tremendous amounts of comfort and joy.
I may not know where my creative path may take me but I am grateful for the healing pleasures it gives me on a daily basis.

Drawing, coloring, writing, & even adding sparkles to my art planner.
I let my allotted time and mood choose my creative activity for the day.
I don't plan or push my creative actions.
I simply let them flow and unload onto paper as I feel inspired.
However, this being said, I am inspired a lot.
Finding time is far more difficult than inspiration.

Within just about any given day, there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy a creative lifestyle. It make take a bit of creativity and multitasking just to make it work, but it is well worth it.

Over this past year I have spent nearly everyday with pen, pencil, and paper.
I now have a very wonderful collection of journals, art journals, sketchbooks, and even pretty planners to look through. They are full of inspiring heartfelt moments from each and everyday.
Love spilled directly onto paper.

I encourage anyone with even the smallest amount of curiosity to take the creative jump.
One little notebook to fill with all your dreams; creates wonderful memories to smile and look through in the future.

Here's a little freebie to release you creativity on.
Enjoy coloring and crafting with Joy, but please give me; Anna Stillwell at Cuddlebug Cuties, credit for drawing her, and if you have a moment please feel free to leave a comment letting me know that you stopped by.

Starting The Day With Creativie Inspiration

Do you do something every morning to start your day off right?
Something little that just makes you smile and gives you that extra little push to get you through all the must do activities, so that you can reach the can't wait to do ones.

I like to start my day with creativity. A little inspiration for motivation.

Usually I flip through my sketchbook, read past journal entries in my modori, or flip through my art planner; while enjoying my morning coffee. I decide what goodies I want to create with for the day; pens, pencils, paper tape, journaling cards...an endless list of possibilities.

This morning I started the day with my sketchbook. I have so many works-in-progress right now.
I want to polish them up, ink them, get them posted, and lets not forget color them.
I can't wait to color them.

Here's a peek at my morning of inspiring sketches.

My goal is to get these up within the next few days.
Starting with the bunny for the holiday.
I'd love to have that one up by tomorrow.

Have a wonderful and joyful day.

Mori Girl

I have been so inspired by mori girl style.
Have you heard of it? It is just absolutely adorable.
It's a Japanese style that means forest girl. It's layers and frills and looks so comfy. I would guess that these girls spend forever getting ready, but it really comes across as easy comfortable fashion.

I have found studying the clothes to be a lot of fun. The outfits work so well with my drawing style. It's quirky, with lots of interesting pieces that just add a little extra something. Creativity just jumps from the clothing onto my sketchbook. Love it!

I sketched out my first cuddlebug mori girl three times. I changed her hair and clothes a bit with each redo. About halfway through the third drawing, I realized this was it. Just what I wanted to achieve. Cute and adorable with a touch of my own style.

I thought it would be fun to show everyone a bit of my sketching process; so I took a handful of pictures along the way. Even though I decided that the last one was what I wanted; the other girls will be great to save for later inspiration.

I love the shoes in the third picture. Definitely going to have to make a cuddlebug with those sock and tights layers.

I believe I'm going to use these works in progress photos in my instagram. I've been wanting to revise the content to make it more arts and crafts related. Right now it's kind of random, but I would love it to be more of sketching, coloring, and supplies. Sticking with my own interests instead of just photos of everything around me. I honestly believe that would give me more to photograph too.

This is my goal for this week. Add little bits of daily creativity to instagram.
