Furballs In The Craftroom

I've been working on redoing my craft room to make it a bit more art studio like.
I felt that I just had to much random hobby craft supplies cluttering up every inch of my limited space. Since my main crafts are drawing and art journaling I really needed more table space than storage for pretties.
I'm in the process of reevaluating my materials. Storing some and donating others all to make room for a small kitchen table to replace my desk. The desk is beautiful but once I put a computer on it I have little room for large and unusual sized sketch books.

My rattie furbabies are quite alarmed by this entire situation. My craft desk has been around as long as they have and it has changed very little. It's their favorite place to play. Plenty of areas to climb and a hutch to hide in.
I've been letting them explore one last time on it while I clean it off.
Of coarse a photo shoot ensued.

I think they had fun, and they loved the special treat.
They get fresh veges and fruit everyday but I keep a box of dieters sweets for them for special treats. I figure if it's for a diet they shouldn't get to plump, right? Hmm...you only live once might as well enjoy it :) They are snacking on a Weight Watchers Carrot Cake. Spoiled, I know. That's the way furbabies should be. They love yogurt too, oh but what a mess. That's a photo shoot for another day.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Anna

A New Craft Studio Revealed

I'm finally at a good and comfortable place with my new craft room.
I've moved and rearranged till everything felt like it was just right.
It's put me in the mood to redo my entire house. Maybe just some little touches for spring. Let a bit more light and color in.

This is the hallway wall that leads into my craft studio. I thought it would be perfect for a few family photos. I haven't chosen my favorites yet. I have so many pictures and it's hard to narrow them down to just a few.

This is my paper crafting storage wall with a little desk added for my son to play and create at.

I love this paiting. It's soft and pretty. I find it heart warming so it follows me wherever I can make it fit.

This is the closet further down the same wall. I removed the doors and now have a nice little recessed area for larger and bulky items.

New flower storage.

Now the opposite wall.
Here's is my desk. I love the hutch on it. It works great as a card stock organizer.

Colored pencil holders.

One of my many baskets of yarn.

Love dress forms. Wish I had room for an entire collection.

This little shelf is right in front of the dress form. I love the glass door so that you can see the fun boxes inside. I'm not sure what I will use the wire basket for yet. Ribbon, yarn, lace...so many possibilities.

Dress form ribbon storage.

Flower storage. I love wall shelves. They add so much character.

Just love flowers in jars. It's such a great way to store small items and still be able to see what you have.

Well, I hope you all enjoyed a peek into my creative world.
Have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Anna

My Little Crafty Place

I love to see other peoples craft studios. I find it so inspiring to see how others store all their treasures. And I'm always looking for new ideas of things that I can do to my little crafting place.

When my husband and I brought our first home I had the second largest bedroom as my craft room.
It was amazing. It was pink and tan and had so many nifty storage shelves. People would visit and every single girl always told me they wanted that room. It was comfy and inviting, the perfect place to create all day.

Fast forward a few years and our family has grown just a little bit.
I has happy to paint my craft room green, add some fun curtains and a brightly colored foamy alphabet rug; and hand the second biggest room in the house over to my son.
I wanted him to have plenty of room to play and a space that he loved growing up in.

Nowadays, I have a much more condensed space. And I've learned to go up the wall for ample storage. And the funny thing is I still love my little corner space just as much as the huge room.
It's my favorite place to go relax and unwind.

So today I thought it would be fun to show you where all the magic happens.

I love this corset jewelry holder. It works great for storing my ribbon. It's pretty and functional, and I love being able to see what I have instead of having to dig for it.

Jars...tons of jars to store my flower collection.

Brads, pins, beads, and charms.

Then I have my desk underneath and it's full of additional storage.
From pencil holders to a spice rack to shelving and drawers.

Copic storage.

And the most important cabinet of my desk,
toys because my little guy is always with me and he needs something fun to play with while I craft :)

Hope you guys enjoyed the photos.

Anna
