My Little Crafty Place

I love to see other peoples craft studios. I find it so inspiring to see how others store all their treasures. And I'm always looking for new ideas of things that I can do to my little crafting place.

When my husband and I brought our first home I had the second largest bedroom as my craft room.
It was amazing. It was pink and tan and had so many nifty storage shelves. People would visit and every single girl always told me they wanted that room. It was comfy and inviting, the perfect place to create all day.

Fast forward a few years and our family has grown just a little bit.
I has happy to paint my craft room green, add some fun curtains and a brightly colored foamy alphabet rug; and hand the second biggest room in the house over to my son.
I wanted him to have plenty of room to play and a space that he loved growing up in.

Nowadays, I have a much more condensed space. And I've learned to go up the wall for ample storage. And the funny thing is I still love my little corner space just as much as the huge room.
It's my favorite place to go relax and unwind.

So today I thought it would be fun to show you where all the magic happens.

I love this corset jewelry holder. It works great for storing my ribbon. It's pretty and functional, and I love being able to see what I have instead of having to dig for it.

Jars...tons of jars to store my flower collection.

Brads, pins, beads, and charms.

Then I have my desk underneath and it's full of additional storage.
From pencil holders to a spice rack to shelving and drawers.

Copic storage.

And the most important cabinet of my desk,
toys because my little guy is always with me and he needs something fun to play with while I craft :)

Hope you guys enjoyed the photos.
Hugs,
Anna

  2. Thanks sooo much for sharing your lovely space with us. I´m sooo impressed how neat and nice you can keep it there LOL.
I´m like Carmen at the other end, and have all my kids out of here, and as if that wasn´t enough, hubby just built me a gigantic craftroom in the old barn here on the old farm, we live on, so I think, I have one of the biggest room made.
I actually just shared loads of pictures from that here last month, so if you´ll like to see it, just go to my blog, here: http://mycraftbarn.blogspot.dk/2013/10/my-craft-heaven.html
It is a real heaven, but also just wonderful, when I have all my 7 granddaughters here, who all loves to play here, whenever they can for school.
But even I have a huge space, I still love to see, how others keep theirs and get great ideas for storage and decorations, and I soo enjoyed to see yours here too hun. Have a wonderful time there crafting.

  3. Hi Anna,
Thank you so much for sgaring this with us.
It has given me some ideas for storage.
I don't have a craft place, I just use my office desk, and sort of push my computer back and use the l.ittle bit of space in front of it.
I hope that you have a fantastic day.
    Love and best wishes.

  7. I also love to see other people's spaces. I can't complain, because I do
have a spare room, but I do my crafting in the living room, because then
the TV keeps me company, and the table is large. Also I don't have so
much as you. How tidy and well planned you are. Love the way you
keep your ribbons - but how do you keep all the short pieces of ribbon?

  8. *turns green with jealousy* lol.

Gorgeous craft room! And I love the jars! I have a handful, but as I only have one desk and a bit of floor to work with, I can't display them as prettily as you! x

  12. Hi and wow! It is so nice the way that you have all those shelves on the wall and jars to store everything. I love it and you are luck to have a room to make wonderful creations in. I have a room that is the guest room/storage room to keep all of my yarn and in bins in the basement. Someday maybe I will get lucky and have my own room. Thanks for listening to me vent and so happy for you. I saw it on katherines corner party. Julie at julieslifestyle.blogspot.com

  14. Wow, what a fabulous collection of flowers & all so organised! I would be embarrassed to show you my messy space! Hubby & I are retired, the kids are gone so I have my own room but it always looks like a tornado went through it....I'm trying to become organised but it just isn't in my genes!

  15. I'm about to move into our new home, I wish I had space to develop a craft room, but it doesn't look like that will happen with this place. I LOVE the idea of going up the wall. I probably can do something in the garage to help me get this going. Thanks for sharing!
