Someday Dreams Smashbook Layout...Sewing Room

In my someday craft studio,
I would love to have a little corner of the room dedicated to sewing.
Sewing is not my finest craft, but I love to create quilts.
They are such amazing works of art.
And it's fun to decorate a room based on a quilt that you created.

So someday, I hope to have a great craft room with space to paper craft and sew. Spools of thread on one wall and markers on another.
Doesn't that sound like fun?

I found the photos for this smash set out of a Romantic Homes magazine.
Every page full of beautiful photography,
but I just fell in love with the soft colors of this sewing room.
So open, with beautiful fabrics lining the walls and sweet dressforms decorating every corner.

Anna

Someday Dreams Smashbook Layout #2 and a free digi too

I love to color big.
Doing a nice little image for a card is great, quick and easy; but I miss the good old coloring book days when I had a full sheet of paper to color. So, this little smashbook has been great in so may ways for me. I have plenty of room to print out full sized images and color and embellish till my hearts content. Just absolutely love it!
If you haven't tried a smashbook yet, I say go for it and give one a try.  And there's still a few more days to sign up for the smashbook giveaway too. So, keep your fingers crossed and you might get lucky.

For today, I did a really cute little one pager.

I just love this chair.
It's so unique.
I'd pick different colors, pattens, and material but the over all idea is great.
So much better than a plain black chair for a crafty room.
So this chair gets a whole page in my Someday Dreams Smashbook.

The best part is this cute little chair came with a set of how to instructions, yay!
So, I added a little folder to my page and slipped the instructions in for later.

Smashbook Layout and a Digi

I've come to realize a few thing while making my first layout in my Someday Dream Home Smashbook.
First, I have a lot of magazines. I mean tons. I was a bit shocked at how many I have amassed over the years. I think this project was in the making long before I decided to glue it to paper, lol.
A little piece of my collection
I started collecting so many pages for my  book that I had to start sorting them in file folders.
I'm still not finished going through all of my magazines and I think I'm going to need several smashbooks to store my collection of favorite photos.
Filed for later

The second thing I realized is that I really want to redecorate my entire house now.
I have the biggest urge to finish my basement and convert our garage into a huge dining / living room. I doubt my husband would go for the last part but I could see myself getting excited one day while he's gone and start tearing a hole in the wall between our living room and garage. I mean we could just by a shed to house his motorcycle in, right? And cars can be parked on the street. I know, my story still has some holes in it, but a girl can dream. And since we're dreaming maybe I could just make it a huge craft room.

But anyways,
I started my first layout and decided that I would do the bedroom first. I've held on to one favorite magazine since 2007 because of a beautiful bedroom picture. I think this one photo started my collection, and it only seemed natural to start my project with it.

It's a beautiful pink shabby chic room. Layers of romantic bedding, cutesy lamps, and old wooden shutters as a headboard. I fell in love with this room so many years ago and I love it more and more as I grow older. I've imitated the room many times over, and amassed a huge collection of Rachael Ashwell quilts while doing so. As well as some other well loved romantic shabby chic decor.

Favorite corner of my bedroom

I still haven't decided how to decorate my pages yet. Just a collage of all my pictures or tons of over the top embellishments. Maybe a little bit of both.

One thing I do know, is that I'm going to fill the pages and add lots of Cuddlebugs along the way.

Dreams to Come

Hello everyone,
Thought I'd share a little bit about my Smashbook idea with you guys.

I have my book.

And I have tons of decorating, diy, storage, and all around pretty home; books and magazines.

All purchased not by subscription but hand picked for the beauty within.
Dozens of stunning photos that I love.
And at one point thought to myself, I'd like to do that.
But as time passed the reading material piled up on a shelf and the pictures within became just a memory if not completely forgotten.

So what I've decided to do is use my Smashbook as a gigantic scrapbook of my Someday clippings from these wonderful books.

Someday when I have enough time
Someday when I have enough space
Someday when I have enough money
Someday...
I want to do this.

A little book full of my favorite picture all of things that I would love to try.
A book of dreams.
Some of them might even come true.
Someday

My first set of pages will be coming soon.
And they'll be accompanied by a stunning and romantic new digi.

Hugs,
Anna

Aria & Mystic Smashbook Cover and Digi

Hey everyone,
It has been a wonderful week and I have so enjoyed creating my second smashbook cover.
It was great to have such a large surface to work with and embellish.
I already want to create another one and I haven't even filled the pages of this one yet.

Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited to fill this book with all kinds of goodies.
I already have my first set of pages planned out and ideas of cuddlebugs to include within the pages too.

This is going to be such a fun project.
I can't wait to get started and share as I go.

Spring Digital Stamp

I love Smash Books. Have you tried one?
They're a mix between a scrapbook, mini album, journal, and art journal.
You can use them however you like.
Mix it up to save your little keepsakes, whether its a poem, a story, a picture, anything really.
They're so much fun and a great to way to scrap.

I have tons of the books, all in different colors, but sometimes I enjoy making my own from scratch. I use the same basic idea but use my own pretty papers that I've collected over the years and I bind it with pretty rings and ribbons. That way everything in the book is all me. Perhaps this really makes it a mini album but I call them my smash books, so to me that's what they are.

I've just started making a spring book. Something to collect all the fun moments of the season. Everything from stories to art.

I've left room for a picture and a story on this page.
Now all I need is a fun memory and maybe some slightly warmer weather :)
