A Quicky Christmas Card

While doing a little Christmas shopping this week I saw the most adorable card on the cover of a magazine. I didn't purchase the issue but kinda wish that I would have because the card was so cute, but I usually enjoy coloring my creations and this was a ribbon themed card, so  I thought it really wouldn't be something that  I would ever make.
Later on, throughout the week I noticed similar cards popping up all over Pinterest. Guess I wasn't the only person who thought it was super cute. This just enticed me to give it a trying. It was something totally different from my normal creations but I love trying new things.

Altogether it took two patterned papers, one piece of cardstock, a straw, a handful of ribbon  and string, some doublesided sticky tape, and about 10 minutes.

Somehow I lucked out and actually found straws that looked like wood.

Perfect for making a ribbon Christmas tree.

It was fun to try something different. I still think I'll stick to coloring though.

Hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far. I'll have an adorable new digi for you all very soon.

Hugs,
Anna

  3. Super cute. I have seen these cards around for quite awhile. Haven't made one yet. But I just ordered some wood looking straws last week, and this would be perfect for all those ribbon scraps in my stash. I will have to give it a whirl sometime. Thanks for the extra inspiration. Merry Christmas.
