I Prefer Paper

I have 2 tablets, 2 e-readers, a smartphone and I've put great consideration into just about every other gadget on the market as a maybe someday item; but when it comes right down to it
I prefer paper.
Guess I'm a bit old fashion.
I have apps for notes, calendars, recipes, books and more,
but I love having all of these things wrote down in a book too.
It makes me feel more organized and I like being able to add a personal touch to things.
A little sketch here, an adorable sticker there, just sweet embellishments that make me smile while I go through my little book of to - dos.

I've found a great little 3 ring binder book that I can do all these things in.
It's called Misc Me Life Journal by Bo Bunny.
And I am so loving this little book.

It has everything I need and then some.
You purchase the binder and all the accessories separately, giving you an awesome amount of choices on exactly what's going on inside your life journal.
Mine contains a monthly and daily calendar, beautiful vintage note paper, a section for family favorite recipes, a handful of sentiment cards with some of my favorite sayings, and some pretty paper pages to decorate and add photos to later.
And my favorite part.
The cover looks like a vintage book, but I see it as a blank canvas just waiting to be embellished.

These little books are so versatile.
It's a little bit like a planner, a little bit of a recipe book, and a little bit of a scrapbook.
I Love it, totally just adore it actually.
This is my new go to book.

Life Journal

Favorite quotes and room to scrap.

Monthly calendar with a pocket.

Weekly calendar. Aren't the coffee stains cute?

Pretty note paper.

A pretty page to scrap on later.

More quotes and scraps.

Recipe cards and a bookmark.

Full page recipe card.

And my soon to be decorated blank canvas.

Loving everything thing about this new treasure.

Hugs,
Anna

  3. It sure sounds like, it´s the perfect solution, and I admit, I´m exactly the same as you and also preffer the paper any time. I admit, that we can´t do wiothout our electronic devices, but I still very much preffer to write everything down my self, and feel I remember things much better then. I can´t say, how many times, hubby havae told me to just use my phone for notes and stuff, but I would probably never find them ever again then, while I´ll always check my notebook. And yours looks just fabulous, and just like something I would love to get too.
Looking sooo forward to see, how you´ll be decorating this unused canvas here when you get to that later.

  9. I just got a notebook from my CTMH website and I am slowly working on decorating it for my adventures in 2014. I decided I did not want (or like most) of the pre-made books. So, I am making my covers for front/back and dividers for the inside to cover many of my life adventures from crafting, cooking, reads, to dreaming. Love the look you incorporated with yours. You did a fabulous job and I love all the intricate details. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend. http://OhMyScraps2U.blogspot.com

  11. I love paper too, Anna. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways. Though I do have to say that your notebook is far more beautiful than my planner used to be. :) I love all of the beautiful and fun options we have in planners now. The one thing I use now that I never thought I'd use over paper is my Kindle. I swore I'd never give up "real" books. But an eye injury made me very thankful for my Kindle. I guess and old dog can learn new tricks. lol

  16. I have to have a hard copy in everything. I've never found a computer program that fits my planner needs. Love my kindle but there's something about holding an actual book. When I edit manuscripts, I have to have a hard copy. Yes, the hard copy means I have to go back and add the comments on the digital later - 2 x the task but I don't catch things in digital that I do with a hard copy. Glad I'm not the only one. :-)

Love this little journal. What an awesome way to document a year in the life. Even with recipes our tastes change
